I want to thank CMHA for helping to save my life. Now we need to put it back together, so I can live to help others. I am getting my CAC counseling licence so that I may help to save the lives of others.
This should NOT happen in the USA.
The people that work here really care. The CT Department of Social Services, aka DSS, has ruined my life. They cut off my medical insurance which in turn cutoff my medications and medical appointments. I was on Insulin, HCV meds, Anti-depressants, anxiety, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, CPAP, high blood pressure meds, pain management along with various therapies and treatments. Many of the meds CANNOT be safely stopped immediately. You must be titrated off of them gradually. Did DSS care? NO!!! I could have died.
CMHA is helping me to survive. CMHA is still fighting with DSS to get me back on my life sustaining medications, and treatments so that I may seek gainful employment, so that I can support myself. I do NOT want to rely on the state for my insurance, I want to be and maintain my Independence, as a disabled person. But I need help now. CMHA cares enough to help me. They will get a FIVE star rating once we succeed in exposing DSS for the way they treat the poor, disabled, needy people of CT. (DSS gets a MINUS 5 rating)
